The Damnits embody the spirit of mid-west rock and roll. The mid 90's had seen a metamorphosis in Rock music and Bob Damnit began writing music that would tell the story of a generation. A generation sandwiched between East and West Coast music cultures, between baby boomers and gen-exers. At that crossroads are Columbus Ohio and the unmistakable sound of the Damnits. The Damnits are Bob Damnit on guitar and vocals. Mike Lindenbolt, band mate of Damnit for 15 years on bass, Bill Patrick, brother of Damnit on lead guitar and backing vocals and Ric Martalino on drums. Bob Damnit wrote the majority of material over the last several years, but only after the four players committed to the band was the sound officially forged. Bill Patrick, Bob Damnit's brother, joined the band after moving to Columbus in 2006. Ric Martalino joined shortly after and the band began to develop their distinct sound. All four members are dedicated to the Damnits exclusively and their creative possibilities continue to intensify and congeal with every new song. The band is currently working on brand new material that is transcending its mid-west roots and launching the band in an exciting new direction. Good things are on the horizon. The Damnits are currently seeking partnerships with music industry professionals to promote and distribute recorded material. The band has recorded 16 tracks total to date. The first collection of 8 songs on an album entitled “Songs for Sugarpants” and the second collection on the upcoming “Something so Beautiful.” Both albums are complete and ready for distribution. The Damnits are open to record label consideration for new recordings as well and embrace the opportunity to evolve to the next level in the recording industry. The Damnits are also seeking management and promotion services.
