FMB started out as a recording endeavor by Tommy Gianikos and Gil Graham. Friends and musical brothers for ages, Tommy and Gil set out to record a few songs that Tommy helped write years earlier when he lived in L.A.

Tommy and Gil first approached Danny Boyd in June 2004 to play drums on the recordings and also act as Engineer and Producer of the songs. Danny owns Moo Pigface Recording Studio and has been involved in the recordings of hundreds of bands in the Ohio area. He also has been friends with Tommy for over 20 years as they both were founding members of the popular rock band from the mid 1980s, Shock Tu. Since this was only to be a short lived studio project with no strings attached it was easy to recruit some of the areas top players to commit to the recording process of the songs. Steve Mitchell, one of the areas premier guitar players was brought in for his playing ability and his knowledge of authentic rock guitar tones and understanding of the musical direction the songs were taking. Randy Goin was recruited to be a big part of not only the guitar playing that he would contribute, but also his singing ability was to be a pillar part of the recordings. Rob Chandler agreed to round out the lineup with his awesome keyboard ability. With the lineup in place the recording began.

The recording process was to take only a few weeks but as the band started pre-production for the CD the power the players were producing together was undeniable and after recording just a few songs it was obvious that a two week recording session had culminated into a musical brotherhood. The Fabulous Martini Brothers was born.

FMB is now a band.

The band set out to record some of Tommy’s music and while writing new songs to complete a CD full of straight ahead rock that seems to have been lost in today’s music. The feel and power of The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith and AC DC blended with the sounds of Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley. The band was now on it’s way to creating its 1st CD of many to come. FMB recorded from June of 2004 until August 2005 in the studio (yes that is correct…14 months!) Fabulous Martini Brothers were just weeks from finishing up the Final mixes for the CD.

On Friday, August 19th 2005 Tommy was tragically killed in an auto accident.

Absolutely devastated by Tommy’s death, the band is now planning to raise the money through donations to release the CD. After 2000 copies of the CD has been printed FMB is planning to have a CD release show and give away every copy of the CD for free so Tommy’s vision is carried out and his spirit can live on through his music. The venue and date of the CD release show will be announced soon after all preparations are finalized. Tim Owings will be singing for the evening in Tommy’s place and the band hopes to bring together other musical brothers for the evening to share with the vision!
