They hail from the ancient Pickaway Plains of Ohio. Their name taken from the story of a vigilante warrior. Voidgazer deals out their music with the power and presence of rock's finest practitioners... Established in 1999 as the alternative to what has been called Post Punk Power-Pop and Nu Metal, Voidgazer remain a steady force in the Columbus, Ohio music scene. Blasting volume heavy riff rock with attitude and precision, their music has been described as "laid back but defiant". One listen will prove that "laid back" is not automatically synonymous with "mellow". Death Rock comes to mind, as Voidgazer mines the territory of timeless rock and roll, infuses it with the heaviest of metal, tops it off with vintage style guitar solos, and the punkish urgency that defines "Cowtown" Rock-n-Roll.
